While a lot of press has been made lately of the tablet release from Amazon, they are not the only company that specialized in ereaders that has expanded into tablets. Barnes and Noble has begun selling its new NOOK Tablet as a more robust option for those that want to do a bit more than just read books. It does cost a bit more than Amazon's offering but it does look to have a few more features on it as well. Ultrabooks are a hot new item in the laptop world thanks to Intel's big marketing push for the ultrathin laptops. Essentially, they take what Apple made popular with their MacBook Air and clone that for the Windows based laptop manufacturers. Best Buy has a surprisingly good deal on the Samsung Series 9 laptop for just $1000. This puts it at the same price as the Apple MacBook Air 11-inch but with a larger screen and more performance. At a slim .6-inches thick and under 3 pounds in weight, it certainly is extremely portable.
